Sorry about todays outage - KiwiWebHost, our hosts, thought that we were running a vulnerable version of phpBB and disabled our account. In fact we are running the latest version of phpBB (2.0.13) but their reporting showed us running 2.0.6c. I only logged in to discover the error this afternoon and it took a little bit to resolve as they had disabled my shell access so I could not verify that we were in fact running the latest version and they had a server meltdown which meant that their support people were rather busy.

At long last the New Zealand Recreational GPS Users Society website is finally online. Thanks to Digiweb for hosting the forums previously, and thanks to KiwiWebHost for the great service this weekend while we transfered all the data from the forums over to the new site. This site is made for GPS Users, so it is up to you guys and gals to tell us what you want to see on the site (and even better, write something and submit it yourself). Garmin have release another update for the GPSMAP 60CS unit.

• Added Fuel Services option to the Find menu.
• Find-by-name searches now only return a list of items that begin with the input string.
• Added the ability to automatically close the keyboard when six or less items are in a find-map-points-by-name list.
• Improved map colors for contour lines and night mode.
• Corrected memory problem related to Follow Road route calculations.
• Corrected problem with certain alarms working only during active navigation.
• Corrected problem with saved track profile zooming.
• Corrected problem with find-address searches across multiple map sets.
• Corrected problem when finding waypoints and canceling from the Select Symbol filter option.
• Corrected problem with auto daylight savings so that it works for years other than the current year.
• Corrected problem causing an error beep after filling out a text or number field.
• Corrected problem with the Altimeter page when going to the Reset page and clearing the track log.
• Corrected problem with the Calibrate Compass option on the Geocaching Compass page.
